WHATS UP WEDNESDAY?! - Labor Day Weekend and Staycation!

Hi Friends! Happy Wednesday.

We have been busy!

So whats been up with us you ask?

Since the last update our friends from out of state came to visit. We went out for dinner and caught up. We know how busy they are and we are so grateful that they could spend an evening with us!

We have also tried a few new recipes. We made Ultimate Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies (not pictured) and Large Beignets. Both of these recipes were very good and will be added to the McNeil cookbook!

Then on Labor Day weekend we took a mini road trip to the SPAM Museum. It was a fun experience and we learned a lot about the Hormel brand.

Also, we went to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. This year was our first time participating in the Feast of Fantasy. The food at the feast was great along with the entertainment. We had so much fun and left very full.

After Labor Day we went to the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit in Minneapolis. We really enjoyed how we could sit in one place and the art work change around us.

We couldn’t get enough art so we took another mini road trip to Shafer MN, home of the Franconia Sculpture Park. It is such a huge park and we know we did not see everything. Also it started to rain which cut our visit shorter than what we planned. The sculptures are so amazing and unusual. We for sure plan to go back to try to look at the other pieces that we didn’t get a chance to see. We highly recommend to go there, very kid friendly as well. After that we took a side trip to Knoke's for sweet treats (not pictured). Then we went to get our favorite pizza (pineapple and pepperoni) at Black Sheep in St. Paul.

The next day we had the opportunity to go out for a fancy dinner date at Manny’s Steakhouse. It was our first time going to this restaurant and we both agree by far the best steak we have ever had.

Then we wrapped up our staycation with a picnic date at a Vineyard. Great little lunch and wine. After that we went back to Minneapolis for a Twins baseball game!

We have been so busy these last couple weeks but have enjoyed it all.

Help us spread the word that we are a waiting family in the domestic infant adoption program. We are ready for placement and to be first time parents! We are home study approved and can travel within the USA. If you are an expectant mother, birth parent, guardian, or anyone else interested in finding out more about us, please reach out. We welcome you to learn more about us.

Thank You!
